The Delaphone phonograph was marketed by A. (Arthur) Delrue, a Starr-Gennett dealer in Toronto, from 1920 to 1922. It was sold in his phonograph store which occupied the ground level of a building at 184 Wallace Avenue, Toronto. The upper floor housed a six-room apartment.

Toronto Daily Star, November 4, 1925, p. 33 and December 9, 1925, 9. 42. The Delrue Phonograph Co. was short-lived. By 1925, through 1933, the store at 184 Wallace Avenue ran classified ads selling household furniture.




Arthur Delrue died on July 14, 1972. At the time he was still listing his address as 184 Wallace Avenue.
