Canadian Furniture World and the Undertaker, May 1917, p. 38: "Last month (April 1917) the Playola Phonograph Co., Ltd. was incorporated, with a capital of $40,000, to take over the business of the Playola Phonograph Co. The officers of the company are F. J. Foley, president, and A. J. Bell, secretary. The company has opened offices, showroom and factory at 468-474 King Street West, Toronto and are manufacturing and making deliveries of two sizes of phonographs which retail at $50 and $75."
